South Africa Tzu Ching was established roughly around August, 1994. Some may refer to this year as the year of the "Born-Frees" since it marked the first democratic election after the well-known Apartheid era.
Every year, around the Easter holiday period, there are a group of youngsters willing to give up their holiday to attend the Tzu Ching training seminars held at Tzu Chi Headquarters. This year, however, holds something just a little different.
On the 4th March 2014, some of our Local Volunteers went to share with the members of the Rosboom community about the Tzu Chi seminar that was to be held later on in the month and to invite them to come and experience the joy in helping others.
Chinese New Year’s Celebration, often marks the start of a busy event schedule for Tzu Chi Volunteers. This year, during the ceremony, a unique bunch of SA Local Tzu Ching (Tzu Chi Collegiate Youth) perform the unique culture of Tzu Chi – a sign language musical.
