Although the apron is not
part of uniform,
but they co-exist beautifully

Every day when Tzu Chi volunteers emptied the rice bag they wondered how they were going to reuse the bags. Later they came up with an idea of making clothes with them. They made skirts to use while conducting various tasks and aprons to use in the kitchen while preparing food, they wore them on this day. Tzu Chi volunteers made a beautiful display of the word TZU CHI to commemorate the 49th anniversary.

Many were very happy, but a few were not sure if they were going to manage. One of the little girl cried because children always expect comfort from their parents. After they were done they gave their parents some fruits and fed them with their own hands. In return the merry mothers embraced their children showing appreciation to the honorable act. The happy mothers thanked Master Cheng Yen for the good valuable teachings because in their lives they had never been showed such great love and respect from their children. They even vowed to spread the good teachings to their community and beyond.
